Glossary

It's important to us and we know that it's important to you to understand what ingredients are in the products that you apply to your body. For this reason, we use the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) system for listing our ingredients. This is an internationally approved system of cosmetic ingredient names based on their scientific names. This helps customers identify ingredients regardless of the language that they speak. Following is a glossary of many of our ingredients. But please be aware that there may be ingredients on this list that we no longer use in our products.

Fennel

Foeniculum vulgare
Derived from fennel flower; moisturizing, detoxifying, calming and balancing.

Flavor

Made from a variety of naturally occurring and synthetic compounds, such as those found in fruits, whose primary function is to add a pleasant taste to the lip care product.

Flax seed oil

Linum usitatissimum
Derived from the plant; rich in fatty acid, nourishes and soothes.

Folic acid

Vitamin B complex
Derived from green vegetables; aids cell formation and is an emollient.

Fragrance (parfum)

Proprietary fragrance blends with unique combinations including essential oils and natural perfumes. The natural perfume components are formulated with blends of aroma compounds. These natural aroma compounds may consist of a variety of components isolated from natural materials such as those found in essential oils. The natural perfumes do not contain phthalates or animal byproducts.

Frankincense

Boswellia thurifera
Derived from the tree resin; soothing, balancing and rejuvenating.

French clay

Derived from minerals; clarifies, firms and softens by removing impurities from the skin.

Fructan

Derived from various vegetable and wheat sugars; naturally occurring polymer of fructose molecules that adds texture and moisture holding properties.
